DC power resources SZ

The SZ 19 Power Supply Source is to power primarily direct-current loads of the R (resistive) and RL (resistive - inductive) character; to charge rechargeable batteries; and to feed loads connected parallel to the batteries.

The device, designed as a plug-in module of the standard width - 19" 4U (according to IEC 297-1) - is to be built into the standard 19" distribution cabinets offering the depth of 500 mm or greater. The standard SZ 19 module consists of a high-efficiency switching source controlled by an analog regulator whose IU characteristics can be adjusted as needed. The source is furnished with independent overvoltage & overcurrent protections and thermal cutouts. The power-rated components are cooled using a fan switched ON & OFF by a thermostat.

The states of the equipment are indicated by three LED diodes available on the front panel. The measured values of voltage and current supplied by the power source can be optionally read on analogue or digital meters; moreover, the control connector has terminals wherefrom a signal can be extended to be read from a remote site. Parameters offered by the source can be optionally set with potentiometers installed on the front panel or through analog signals 0 to 10 V fed into the control connector.
